On True Federalism:

On True Federalism: Could BolaTinubu be on the path of history again ?. Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a shinning example of this political dispensation and Akinwunmi Ambode could be set again to take Nigeria through another historical course of real and sustainable independence. Amidst current various and diverse agitations in Nigeria, which many politicians are already turning into a box of seeking political relevance and reintegration, expectedly,  most of the politicians who are currently lending their voices to people's agitations such as restructuring and true federalism, are merely using that as a tool of gaining popularity amongst Nigerians. Most of these political gladiators, as we had witnessed in the past and very recently want to simply ride on the back of people's popular demands by pretending to be in support of the people on their agitations only to get to power and abandon the people and their demands. Topping the list of these popular agitations is True Federalism. A...

Why Buhari Was Removed As Head Of State in 1985: http://youtu.be/GVBNnVhSuGk

On Audu Ogbe's Yam Export and the attending reactions.

Still on the Audu Ogbe and the yam export fiasco : I wonder why Nigerian government and Nigerians freely refers to the country as the giant of Africa.. when exportation of food product such as yam should be a problem for our government... why is it so hard for the government to really study the terrain of food product exportation before embarking on the wasteful and careless adventure? I wonder whether PMB and his Agric minister actually wanted to promote the exportation of yam as another source of forex for the country or they just merely wanted to engage in another glamorous show of deceit.. if the former is the case, then, they should've found out how best to achieve that feat instead of their usual fire brigade approach to everything... a Nigerian who owns one of the finest African Food Stores in Portsmouth UK told me last month when discussing Nigeria that he wanted to show some patriotism by supporting the new Nigerian government's initiative of exporting yam to the UK ...

Haven of Regret

Several reactions trailing the recent NNPC scam is a clear indication that more and more Nigerians are beginning to be realistic in their views about this government. We thought the APC under the leadership of Buhari will deliver and when they aren't, then we should be up in arms again to send them parking just like We did to the the overbearing and self serving PDP in 2015. The usual self deceiving excuses of saying: "A collapsed building can not be rebuild in one day" will not take us anywhere, we have to also know that the occupants or the survivors of the collapsed building,  who are Nigerians in this context needs to be urgently placed in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to prevent the number of survivors of the collapsed building outnumbering the mortality. It is illogical to concentrate on rebuilding the collapsed building while neglecting the survivors. Nigerians needs urgently, a social policy that will alleviate the sufferings of the masses, N-Power and other ...

Height of Hypocrisy

The people of Nigeria has turned the issue of governance into soccer rivalry... they take sides with political parties rather than keeping politicians on their toes and let them feel the heat of their mismanagement of our resources, people are busy fighting and dividing themselves along party lines forgetting or ignoring the fact that they're the losers either ways... whether APC or PDP it is you, yes I mean you that is hiding behind partisan sentiments that will continually be at the receiving end of their political banditry... Instead of you to join forces to challenge government's shenanigans across board, you're busy defending APC or PDP.. can you tell me how or what APC or PDP or any of the political parties we have in Nigeria has benefited the masses.. and when I talk you start calling me names or making unsubstantiated claims about being sponsored by the opposition.. do we have any opposition in Nigeria? The answer is capital No! What we have in Nigeria is the opp...

The elitist and flamboyant system of government isn't helping anyone but the political office holders. Flimsy excuses will not take us anywhere, We need to be sincere in our quest for a better Nigeria. Nigeria is bigger than Nigerians including Buhari himself and the APC. Let us all shun partisan sentiments and be forward looking. God Bless Nigeria. Deji Ogundimu ultimately desires a better Nigeria, irrespective of any political party that can deliver along that line.

*Tribute to Abami Eda* On Saturday 2nd of August 1997, around 0520hrs, exactly 20 years today, myself and Ademola Alalade (Alas) left our Jimoh Farombi Drive, Ire-Akari Estate home for the British Embassy at the Water front in Lagos Island for the visa application interview of the latter. The Peugeot 504 was racing through some of the popular Lagos notorious heavy traffic spots without much difficulty as we journeyed to Lagos Island. We managed to get to the embassy before 0700hrs and to my very surprise, we met a tumultuous crowd already waiting on the queue for the interview which will be conducted by some privileged folks who were possibly still in their various beds snoring. As the day continued to break on this fateful day, various events began to unfold most of which were very alarming and some really disturbing. The long queue we met continued to grow longer and getting farther. I noticed I was amongst the very few set of people who were not joining the queue, as everyone w...
